If you come from a EU or EFTA country, becoming a Swiss resident has become more since June 2002 and April 2006 bilateral agreements.

Whatever your citizenship, you need to apply for a Swiss residence permit to live in Switzerland. Wether you can get one and how depend on what you plan to do in Switzerland. Please choose which program fits you best:

If you want to live in Switzerland with no activity within the country.

Lump sum taxation
If you want to live in Switzerland with no activity within the country and benefit from a lump-sum taxation.

Artists and sport stars
If you are a writer, painter, music star, sport star or other high-profile individual and wish to settle in Switzerland.

Self-employed
If you are self-employed and would like to live in Switzerland and work from there.

Company relocation
If you want to relocate a business to Switzerland and need to get residence permits for you or your employees.
